A. Yes, that is powered by petrol or diesel fuel. DXP improves storage in small engines when not in use as well as all the other benefits provided.
A. Marine is an area where DXP excels. It ensures moisture removal, bacteria/algae elimination, improved combustion leading to lower emissions, removal of black soot issues and minimization of exhaust odour. Fuel system maintenance can see a 25% reduction as all particulates are removed from the system. Storage life is significantly increased, reducing the need to pump degraded fuel from tanks.
A. Yes. DXP is specifically designed and engineered to improve the quality of fuel at the molecular level. It enhances existing fuel and adds what is required to allow the fuel to work more efficiently, protecting your engine and extending its working life with minimal maintenance.
A. No. DXP is lubricant based. There are no alcohols, metals, or minerals in DXP. All premium fuel you purchase is fuel with an additive in it. There are no industry standards to specify what those additives are or what quantities should be used. DXP allows you to take charge of the quality of additive you use in your fuel and provides the best possible outcome in efficiency and performance, within the specifications of vehicle manufacturers.
A. Yes. DXP can be used and will benefit all vehicles, ranging from the oldest engine to the newest high pressure fuel injected model.
A. Upper cylinder lubrication is very important for the fuel pump, injectors, and the top of the engine to reduce wear and improve performance. Sulphur was initially the lubricant used in diesel, as lead was in petrol. Over the years, there has been a significant reduction in sulphur, and diesel fuel is now known as Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel, whereas lead has been removed altogether in petrol. Newer common rail diesel engines run a lot drier in the top end. The lubricant in DXP is 4 times more effective than what has been removed.
A. Yes. It is extremely important, particularly with the later model common rail diesel engines. Research and experience have proven that moisture in fuel and tanks is detrimental to all engines, particularly high-pressure common rail engines due to corrosion and subsequent damage.
A. Overdosing will not harm the engine. DXP protects the engine and any more than the recommended dose is simply wasting product. DXP is designed to enhance all fuel to be the best it can be and can have no detrimental effects.
A. DXP tunes and cleans the engine thereby increasing the power rating and efficiency of fuel, creating a premium fuel quality. In diesel the cetane rating can be increased by up to 5 points, in petrol you can see a 2 point increase in the octane rating. This results in a hotter, cleaner burn providing more power and torque, and greater engine efficiency
A. When using DXP, your engine is lubricated and running more efficiently due to the reduction in carbon build up, the cleaning of the injectors and a hotter burn due to the increased power ratings with the fuel being used increased to a premium grade. Modern computerised systems will adjust fuel flow according to the power required and they recognise the power improvement, therefore you see less fuel used.
A. The fuel detergent and moisture dispersant in DXP will protect the fuel filter ensuring up to twice its life expectancy. DXP dissolves and emulsifies particulates, including moisture, to a sub-micron level, allowing it to pass into the chamber for combustion and subsequent removal from the system.
A. Noise is friction, and friction is wear! DXP provides lubrication to the engine which then reduces noise and wear. This, coupled with the increase power ratings reduces combustion noise. Your engine will run smoother and quieter with DXP.
A. DXP is fully compatible with all grades of Biodiesel. Biodiesel has a higher rate of moisture absorption that DXP compensates for, and it allows for a more efficient burn rate and a greater emulsification when mixed with standard diesel.
A. Storage is greatly affected by moisture and algae/bacterial build up, degrading the fuel quality over time. DXP keeps this to a minimum, by atomising and suspending the moisture, and killing all bacteria/algae. Thus, storage life is greatly extended, corrosion minimised, and maintenance downtime and need are reduced substantially with little or no contaminate build up. This allows fuel to be stored without losing any efficiency for substantially longer periods.
A. Yes. DXP contains an organic biocide that kills all biological growth including diesel bug
A. You will notice changes within the first hour of continuous running of the engine. There will also be noticeable enhancements with continued use over a few weeks. We do recommend having the fuel filter checked or replaced after the initial dose as contaminants can be dislodged as the system is cleaned out. A blocked fuel filter from these contaminants could initially cause a slight degradation in performance until it is replaced.
A. Yes, if you want to provide the best possible performance and environment for your engine. Manufacturers of diesel fuel are only required to meet the very minimum industry standards, and this also doesn’t take into consideration where you buy your fuel from and how they look after their equipment e.g. contaminants in fuel storage. By continuously using DXP, you ensure you are always enhancing all fuel you purchase to a premium level.
